Swedenborg’s Divine Love and Wisdom in Conversation
Instructor: Professor Rebecca Esterson
Tuesdays, from 4:00–5:30 PM, Eastern Time/1:00-2:30 PM Pacific Time.
March 29-April 19

This four-part online course will invite participants to a close reading of Swedenborg’s work, Divine Love and Wisdom. In tracing the contours of a Swedenborgian incarnational theology, we will consider what it means to engage an embodied God, and how divinity manifests in the natural world and the human body. That embodied action and participation in the thriving of God’s creation is the ultimate incarnation, the end goal of all religious learning and practice, will be considered in conversation with contemporary discourses, such as disability theology, womanist theology, and ecotheology. Part of the “Virtual Education Offerings for the Planet” series run by the faculty of the Center for Swedenborgian Studies.

This is a free online learning initiative. All sessions will be on Zoom.
